Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay says the Porcupine Warriors have already won the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League but still charges fans to attend matches at the Babayara stadium.
Kotoko registered a strong 3-1 win over Accra Lions on Saturday to open a six-point lead at the top of the league standings with 36 points against 30 of second-placed Bechem United who picked a draw in Berekum a day before.
Asante Kotoko travel to Hearts of Oak on February 20th for the biggest fixture of the competition to close the first round of the season but Blay has already declared the Porcupine Warriors champions elect.
“What I want to tell the (Kotoko) fans is that they should come to the stadium to support us to win the league. We have even won the league already.” the former Medeama player said after Kotoko’s 3-1 win against Accra Lions.
“If you look at the number of matches remaining , we need the fans to help us win the league.” Blay added.
Hearts of Oak play against RTU in Tamale on Sunday before the Super Clash against Kotoko a week later.
