Ghana midfielder Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has showered praise on national teammate Thomas Partey, describing him as an “amazing” player following their time together with the Black Stars.
Kyereh and Partey shared the pitch for Ghana during major tournaments, including the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where Ghana exited at the group stage in both competitions.
Speaking in an interview with Joy Sports after his return from a long injury layoff, Kyereh reflected on his experience in the national team setup and the quality of players he worked with.
“It’s a pleasure to play with him,” Kyereh said of Partey.
“I always saw him as a really good player on television before I met him in the national team, but when I was training with him, I saw his quality from another angle. He’s so good.
“What a player?! What an amazing player!”
Kyereh, who is still working his way back to full fitness after a lengthy spell on the sidelines, is currently playing for SC Freiburg’s U23 side as he builds up sharpness ahead of a potential return to first-team action.
The 30-year-old continues to focus on regaining full match fitness while gradually reintegrating into competitive football following his injury setback.
