Asamoah Gyan, a former forward for Legon Cities, has reaffirmed his intention to join Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.
The 36-year-old, a Porcupine Warriors supporter since he was a youngster, was on the verge of joining the team before Legon Cities grabbed him prior to the start of the 2020–21 campaign.

.“I have been an Accra boy. I didn’t want to move to another City and then Legon Cities contacted me. Although I was talking to Kotoko but I had wanted to be in Accra,” he said on the Dentaa Show.
“When I get fit and start playing competitive football, obviously I will play for Kotoko.”
