Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo disclosed that winning the English Championship Player of the Month award at Bristol City is really a big thing for him and his career.
The Ghana and Bristol City attacker won the Championship Player of the Month for January after an impressive form in the English second tier football league.
He scored three goals and provided three assists in the the month of January which landed him the award.
Speaking in an interview with Happy FM, Semenyo indicated winning such award is really a big thing for him as a player.
“When I got the news, I couldn’t believe it, I felt the guys telling me were lying but that individual award is crazy because there are a lot of good players in the league so for me to win the Player of the Month awards is really a big thing. My family were so happy for me” he said.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian forward has 8 goals and 12 assists in 30 matches in the English Championship this term.
He was named in the Black Stars for the 2022 World Cup play-off by interim head coach Otto Addo against the Super Eagles of Nigeria but unfortunately missed out due to injury.
