Asante Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah defiatly justified his decision to use container structures at Adako Jachie, the team’s training ground, instead of block structures.
He draws inspiration from Stadium 974, a stadium built in Qatar specifically for the 2022 World Cup.
“People were criticising us for building container structure, when you went to Qatar didn’t you see stadiums built with containers.? Or because it was a white man it’s fine but for your fellow blackman is not.” – Nana Yaw Amponsah revealed to Kotoko NCC during their Congress in Takoradi as quoted by sports journalist Saddick Adams.
“If I tell you the structural thinking that went into the container you will be shocked, because the Adako Jachie land when you put up a building it will sink. Before we act we think deeply into it and we do a lot of stakeholders engagement to get the best interest of the club,” he added.
