Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) vice president, George Afriyie has raised fresh concerns about the whereabouts of former Technical Director Bernhard Lippert and the status of the Ghana Football DNA book, questioning their current relevance in Ghana’s football development structure.
In a social media post that has since generated discussion, Afriyie wrote: “Where’s Bernhard Lippert and the Ghana Football DNA book?”—a remark that appears to challenge the GFA over the continuity and implementation of past technical projects introduced under previous administrations.
His comments have reignited debate about the effectiveness and sustainability of Ghana’s football development framework, particularly in relation to technical education, coaching philosophy, and long-term planning.
Bernhard Lippert, who previously served as the GFA’s Technical Director, was associated with several developmental initiatives during his tenure, including the conceptual “Football DNA” framework aimed at standardising player development across age groups.
Afriyie’s post suggests concerns that key elements of that project may no longer be active or visible within the current technical structure of Ghana football.
