I am not saying Franck Thiery Etouga Mbella should be voted the Most Valuable Player of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season just for the reason of his 20 goals scored so far in the league this season.
But for a foreign player to score such load of goals in his maiden season in our league is an uncommon feat.
His latest strike at Medeama – in the 2-0 Kotoko win on Sunday underlines his sheer quality in front of goal. He has scored plenty this season but this one in Tarkwa certainly ranks among the best goals of the season.
If Kotoko go on to win the league, which is definitely going to happen, I think the Cameroonian attacker deserves to win the Best Player gong of the season.
