West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) have excited Ghana football fans over the years but the Academy Boys are unlikely to be seen in the 2022/23 season.
WAFA are currently 17th on the Ghana league standings on 26 points. Their record this season stands at six wins, eight draws and eleven defeats. They have scored 18 goals and have taken 31 goals.
The Volta-based team have contested in the country’s elite league division since 2015 but following consistent sales of their best players over the seasons, WAFA are experiencing the consequences.
Their next five games are indeed tough : vs Medeama Away on April 23rd, against Kotoko next, Elmina Sharks, Accra Lions and Dreams FC.
Only a miracle will see them avoid the drop this season.
