Wolverhampton Wanderers are eyeing a summer swoop for Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, identifying the 22-year-old as a long-term addition to their attacking setup.
Rak-Sakyi, who is of Ghanaian descent and remains eligible to play for either Ghana or England, has caught the attention of several clubs following an impressive preseason and a loan spell with Sheffield United in the Premier League last season.
Reports from The Sun indicate that Wolves are ready to meet Crystal Palace’s £10 million valuation, placing them in a strong position to land the talented winger. The Molineux club views Rak-Sakyi as a potential replacement for Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha, who recently joined Manchester United in a deal worth over £50 million.
Scottish side Rangers are also said to be interested, but their reluctance to match Palace’s asking price has left Wolves as frontrunners.
Rak-Sakyi spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Sheffield United, gaining crucial top-flight experience despite the team’s relegation. Since returning to Selhurst Park, he has impressed in preseason, scoring the winner in Palace’s 1-0 victory over Millwall.
However, with stiff competition for places in Oliver Glasner’s squad, Palace are reportedly open to letting the academy product leave.
Wolves are said to value Rak-Sakyi’s pace, technical ability, and long-term potential as they look to refresh their wide options ahead of the new season.
