President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has confirmed that the announcement of Ghana’s squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup tournament will officially be made on June 1, urging Ghanaians to continue supporting the nation’s players ahead of the global competition.

Speaking with optimism and confidence about the national team, Kurt Okraku emphasized the importance of unity and encouragement as preparations intensify for the Mundial. According to him, the technical team is closely monitoring performances of Ghanaian players across Europe and other parts of the world before making the final selection.

“The World Cup squad announcement is scheduled for June 1st. Let’s maintain our collective support for our stars,” the GFA President stated.

His comments come at a time when excitement among football fans across Ghana continues to grow, with many eagerly anticipating which players will make the final list to represent the country on football’s biggest stage.

The announcement is expected to generate nationwide discussion, especially considering the strong performances of several Ghanaian players abroad this season. A number of established stars alongside emerging young talents are all believed to be in contention for places in the squad.

Kurt Okraku further called on supporters to avoid unnecessary criticism and instead rally behind the players and technical team as they seek to make the nation proud at the tournament.

The Black Stars have been working steadily to build momentum ahead of the competition, with the coaching staff focused on assembling a balanced squad capable of competing against the world’s best nations.

Football lovers, pundits, and former players are all expected to closely follow the June 1 announcement, which will officially signal Ghana’s final preparations toward the prestigious tournament.

The Black Stars remain one of Africa’s most followed national teams, and expectations will once again be high as Ghanaians hope for a memorable World Cup campaign.
