Ghanaian midfielder Yaw Yeboah had a hand in a goal in the early hours of Sunday as Columbus Crew sealed a win in the Major League Soccer (MLS).
Yeboah set up Diego Rossi to complete his brace against Orlando City as the Crew earned a 2-0 win.
The Ghanaian was named in the starting lineup for the league game for the ninth time this season while making his 12th appearance of the campaign.
Crew were awarded a penalty in the 44th minute of the game after Aidan Morris was brought down in the box. Rossi stepped up to take the resulting penalty and scored to give his side the lead.
The away side took the 0-1 score into the break and looked comfortable from there.
Columbus Crew continued to search for the second goal of the game which eventually came after 61 minutes.
Yeboah latched onto a crossfield pass from his teammate before putting Rossi through on goal for his brace.
Crew protected their lead and claimed all three points at the end of 90 minutes.
With his goal involvement against Orlando, Yeboah has now registered four assists in the 2024 MLS season, one shy of his tally last season.
