Ivory Coast legend Yaya Toure has sent a warm message to the Elephants of Ivory Coast ahead of the 2023 AFCON.
The four-time African Footballer of the Year, Yaya Toure speaking ahead of the AFCON sent his support to his beloved Ivory Coast.
“Today is a great day for Ivory Coast. We begin our journey at the CAN and we welcome the eyes of the whole world as the organizing country. Although I am focused on my work with Saudi Arabia at the Asian Cup, as a proud Ivorian, I send my support to the team and my country.”
The 2015 AFCON winner is far away in the Middle East with Saudi Arabia as an assistant manager for the 2023 ASIAN CUP ongoing in Qatar.
AFCON 2023 kicks off today and ends on 11th February.
