Head Coach of Ghana Premier league side Karela United, Bismark Kobby Mensah says GPL leaders Asante Kotoko are yet to win this season’s competition.
Speaking on Spice Centre Sports, the technical head of the Passioners admitted the improvement in the play of the porcupine warriors but sees them being faced with a stiffer competition during the second round.
“No, not at all, they are playing well; that’s why they are on top though and I’ve seen a very improved Kotoko team but they need to keep consistency in the second round because teams will come in strongly”
Kotoko currently leads the Ghana Premier League as the first round ended with 36 points, 11 wins, 3 draws and losing just 2 with difference of plus 16.
“Hearts of Oak for instance has a very strong individual team which is yet to be transformed into a good team and they will create problems for other clubs if they gel together just as Karela United has done.
Karela United ended the first round on a brighter note when they won away to WAFA by a lone goal which saw them placing 7th on the league log.
The second round of the Ghana Premier league will kick start on the weekend of February 25th-28th across the various league Centres.
