Former Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah, paid a visit to the Black Stars during their final training session before their crucial clash against the Central African Republic on Thursday.
During his interaction with the team, he urged the players to give their all and secure a victory against the Central African Republic. He emphasized that winning the match would not only secure their place in the AFCON but also win the hearts of Ghanaian fans, both in the stadium and watching from home.
“You guys know the assignment already. Tomorrow is the last game to qualify for AFCON. And I know that you are ready, I can see. You have to win the hearts of the fans. That’s the most important thing,” Stephen Appiah conveyed to the Black Stars players.
The game between Ghana and the Central African Republic is scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 7. It marks the final Group E encounter of the qualifiers for the 2023 AFCON, with kickoff set for 16:00 GMT. Ghana requires just a single point from the match to secure qualification for the 2023 AFCON, which will be held in Ivory Coast.
