The Ghana Ambassador to Russia H.E Dr Kodzo K Alabo has tasked the Black Stars of Ghana to qualify to the 2018 World cup to be staged in Russia.
Following the Stars 1-0 defeat to Russia in an international friendly in Moscow on Tuesday, the Ambassador challenged the stars to comeback to Russia in 2018.
“You played very well. What I want to wish you is that, you continue like this. There are a lot of qualify matches to play and we have to win because we have to be in Moscow” Said Dr Kodzo.
“You have to come to Moscow(Russia) in 2018 so i just have to encourage you to continue working hard on your training and at your various teams so that when you gather at the black stars you will always give off your best” H.E Dr Kodzo Alabo told the team after the game.
Despite the 1-0 loss, the black stars team played sublimely well especially at the 2nd half of the game where the stars shown flashes of a telepathic play, a much improved performance compared to the AFCON qualify game against Rwanda.
