Tanzania’s football champions, Young Africans SC, have made their way to Kumasi in preparation for a crucial match in the CAF Champions League scheduled for this Friday against Medeama SC.
The team landed at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra on a Tuesday afternoon and swiftly proceeded to Kumasi for their upcoming encounter.
Taking to the Dichemso AstroTurf in Kumasi at approximately 19:00 GMT, Yanga underwent their initial training session, gearing up for the challenge ahead.
In their pursuit of a first victory in the CAF Champions League group stage, Young Africans SC encountered defeats against CR Belouizdad and a draw with Al Ahly SC in their initial two games.
The much-anticipated clash is slated to unfold at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Friday, with the match scheduled to commence at 16:00 GMT.
A secondary delegation from the Yanga contingent, featuring the club’s vice president Arafat Haji, is anticipated to touch down on Thursday.
Notably, Hafiz Wontah Konkoni, a former player for Bechem United and the Ghana Premier League, is among those who journeyed with the team to face Medeama on Friday.
The team is set to conduct its official training at the match venue on Thursday evening, synchronizing with the imminent kickoff time.
