Promising Ghanaian footballer Nana Gyamfi has shared his excitement after securing a move to Dutch top-flight side FC Utrecht, marking a major step in his young career.
The teenage forward joins the Eredivisie club from Ghana’s second division team, Accra Shooting Stars, where he made a name for himself with impressive performances and consistent development. His time at the Achimota-based club drew attention from scouts, with many tipping him to become one of Ghana’s standout players in the near future.
Although Gyamfi will initially join Utrecht’s developmental squad, expectations are high for the young talent to adapt quickly and thrive in the Netherlands.
“This is a dream come true! I’m so grateful to God for this opportunity and I can’t wait to get on the pitch, showcase my skills, and be a part of this family,” Gyamfi said. “Even though I have to wait a bit till I turn 18,” he added.
Known for his technical skill, quick decision-making, and fearless style of play, Gyamfi described himself as a dynamic and determined team player.
“I am a very confident player—I initiate moves, I pass well, I’m very quick, and I shoot with precision. I don’t let anything hold me back on the pitch, and my teammates can always expect 100% from me every single game,” he explained.
With strong support around his development, Gyamfi is looking forward to beginning this new journey with FC Utrecht.
