Italian-born Ghanaian Kelvin Yeboah came off the bench to have a big impact in Augsburg’s vital win over Borussia Monchengladbach in the German Bundesliga.
The forward started Wednesday night’s game from the bench as Augsburg went into the game in the 16th position with just 15 points from 16 games played.
The 22-year-old who joined the club on loan in January from Genoa until the 2022/23 season was introduced in the 66th minute of the game with the score t 0-0.
Yeboah made his chances count 16 minutes later as get provided the pass to Mergim Berisha which led to the only goal of the game.
The forward was only making his second appearance for the club having joined on a short-term deal in the current transfer window.
The win on Wednesday sees Augsburg rise to 14th on the Bundesliga table with 18 points, two above the relegation zone after 17 games.
