Addressing concerns raised over alleged juju usage by Dreams FC, Vice President Prince Abdul Hamid has sought to reassure Egyptian giants Zamalek ahead of their crucial CAF Confederation Cup semifinal second leg clash.
In response to recent reports from Arab website Btolat.com, where a Ghanaian journalist accused Dreams FC of resorting to black magic tactics during matches, Prince Hamid moved to dispel any fears of unfair play in the upcoming encounter.
“We are Muslims, and we distance ourselves from the use of magic,” stated Prince Hamid in an interview with Btolat.com. “In fact, Islam prohibits the use of magic, especially if it brings harm to others, and this is our steadfast belief.”
Asserting the club’s commitment to fair play, he emphasized, “We firmly believe in the grace of God, and our qualification for the semifinals to face Zamalek is undoubtedly by His will.”
Addressing Zamalek directly, Prince Hamid urged, “Zamalek should not harbor any fears. If they have faith in God Almighty, they should refrain from such discussions.”
Highlighting the club’s dedication to their journey in the Confederation Cup, he affirmed, “We embark on this journey with trust in God, and we will exert all efforts to see it through.”
Commenting on the club’s initiative to rally fans for free attendance at the match against Zamalek, he remarked, “This unprecedented gesture underscores the significance of the match. As an ambitious club, we are driven by goals we aim to achieve.”
Dreams FC is set to host Zamalek at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday for the eagerly anticipated second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semifinal.
