The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, The Teranga Lions of Senegal, The Stallions of Burkina Faso and The Pharaohs of Egypt are the last four teams remaining at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations following the completion of the quarter-final ties.
At the last eight, host Cameroon overpowered impressive debutantes Gambia by 2-0 thanks to a superb brace from Lyon attacker Karl Toko Ekambi and Burkina Faso accounted for Tunisia with a 1-0 win.
Egypt – the most successful national team at the AFCON – defeated North African opposition Morocco by 2-1 with Mohamed Salah scoring an equalizer and assisting the winner for the Egyptians.
Senegal – still searching for their first continental trophy – were too strong for Equatorial Guinea as Sadio Mane and his friends won 3-1.
The semi-final pairings are set and the fixtures are still mouthwatering. Burkina Faso vs Senegal on February 2nd and Cameroon vs Egypt on the next day.
