Mauritainiam midfielder Beyatt Lekweiry is the youngest player in the upcoming 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.
The 16-year-old enforcer who plies his trade with local side AS Douanes was a surprise call-up by Mourabitounes head coach Didier Gomes da Rosa for the impending competition.
He featured for the Under 20 side of his country last year during the Arab Cup when he was just 15 and he wooed people with his output.
The other young players who will grace the tournament are Fatawu Issahaku of Ghana and goalkeeper Ibrahim Sesay of Sierra Leone who are both 17 tears as well as18-year-old Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri who will play for Tunisia.
