The president of the Cameroon Football Federation Samuel Eto’o has reacted to the robbery attack suffered by some Algerian journalists in Douala ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations opening ceremony.

On Sunday, three Algerian journalists who came to cover 2021 AFCON were brutally attacked with knives in Douala. Monies and valuable belongings were taken from them by the unknown thieves.

Samuel Eto’o offered these assaulted people his sincere apologies:

“Tell our brothers that everything will be done to ensure that their stay goes as smoothly as possible at home in Cameroon” Eto’o said.

Meanwhile CAF has also condemned the incident and promises to help tighten security around the competition especially for travelers who have come to cover the AFCON.
