The RCD Mallorca midfielder has been ruled out of the Black Stars’ crucial group C final game against Comoros on Tuesday due to injury.
The spain-based midfielder limped out of last Friday’s second Group B match against Gabon in Yaounde in the 65th minute of the encounter.
‘’The scan results revealed Oedema in his hamstring and so at the moment he can’t play against Comoros on Tuesday’’ Doctor Adam Baba told ghanafa.org after returning from the Garoua Military hospital on Monday.
Baba Iddrisu made his Ghana debut on Sunday, November 13, 2019 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa at the Cape Coast stadium.
Ghana, four-time African Champions, have failed to win any of their two games which has led them in a dicey situation to make it out of the group.
The West African giants will need to beat Comoros in the final group game on Tuesday, January 18 to keep them in the competition.
Ghana now has to beat Comoros massively in their last Group C game before they can stand a chance to progress to the next stage of the tournament.
The four-time African Champions, have always qualified from the group stage of the Afcon since 2008.
