Veteran Senegalese referee Maguette N’Diaye has been appointed to officiate the Egypt vs Morocco game in the quarter-finals of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Egypt have advanced to the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals after beating Ivory Coast in a thrilling penalty shoot-out, in a game that saw brilliant performances from The Pharaohs.
The Atlas Lions on the other hand booked their place in the last eight following a 2-1 victory against hard-fighting Malawi in the Round of 16.
The quarter-finals confrontation between the two rivals is scheduled to take place next Sunday, 30 January at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.
The victorious side will be facing either Cameroon or The Gambia in the semi-finals of the prestigious tournament.
With the awaited game closing in, the referee officiating it was revealed to be Maguette N’Diaye.
The Senegalese referee will be assisted by Malick Samba and Djibril Camara, with Sadek Al-Salami as the fourth official.
Meanwhile, the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) will be supervised by Fernando Guerrero who will be assisted by Dahane Beida and Jerson Emiliano.
