Mansfield Town FC will allow defender Richard Nartey to cut his loan deal with them and return to his parents club Burnley.
The right-back was signed last summer on loan by Mansfield as all their all their right-backs were in the treatment room but he also got injured in his first game and has not played since then.
With the right-backs who were injured back to full fitness now, Mansfield do not want to keep Nartey who has also recovered and they are looking to send him back to Burnley.
“What we don’t want to do is just keep Richard around for the sake of it when he can go out there and maybe play for somebody else or go back to Burnley and play for them.” Manager Nigel Clough stated.
“We will have a chat with him about what he wants to do – we still have five or six days before the window closes.
“We will see how we go – anything could happen in the next few days.” He added.
Nartey previously played for the Under 23 side of Chelsea.
