The Minister for Youth and Sports, says Ghanaians will see massive improvement in the Black Stars before the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars suffered a 3-0 defeat to five time world Champions Brazil before posting a slim victory against Nicaragua 1:0 on Tuesday in Spain.
Winger Issahaku Abdul Fatawu’s powerful strike ensured Ghana got a victory in their second FIFA international friendly.
Ghanaians were left sorry following the Black Stars uninspiring display after the two friendlies.
Football loving fans in the country have called for massive changes within the technical team with less than two months to the tournament.
Ghana will begin its group stage campaign against Portugal on 24th November before taking on South Korea and Uruguay respectively in subsequent matches.
The four-time African Champions will play Switzerland in another pre-World Cup friendly in November.
Ahead of the team’s final warm-up game, the sector minister is confident the Black Stars will improve before the World Cup.
"This is a process, we are building a team and I know that by the time we get to Abu Dhabi, where we are going to have our final game, the team would have been so good and Ghanaians would see the difference,” he told Max TV.
Meanwhile, Head coach Otto Addo, says he is pleased with his team’s performance against Nicaragua. Addo adds he is ready (for World Cup), everybody is ready”,
He says: “We qualified that’s why we have to be there. In times past, Ghana has proven that we are a tournament team. I know we have to improve.”
