-Black Stars to face seek revenge against Uruguay at 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in November.

USM Alger striker Kwame Opoku, is confident that the Black Stars will progress from the group stages of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana was placed in Group H at the World Cup and would face Portugal, Uruguay and Korea Republic at the tournament which would take place between November and December 2022.

Although many have tagged Ghana’s group as very tough, the Algeria-based striker believes the Black Stars are capable of causing a surprise at the Mundial.

Speaking in an interview on Kumasi-based Abusua FM, the former Asante Kotoko goal poacher stated that the four-time African Champions can qualify easily from the group stages to make it to the next phase of the global showpiece.

“It will be very easy for Black Stars to qualify from our World Cup group. The coach has built a solid and a competitive team and those on the bench are also equal to the task,’’ Opoku said.

He added that: “Uruguay is not as solid as we used to know. It’s only Portugal that’s a bit difficult but we will still make it. It will be very easy for Ghana to qualify from the group.”
