Morocco has become the first African and Arab country to qualify for the World Cup semi-finals.

Many public figures and officials also celebrated Morocco’s win. Prime Cabinet Secretary of Kenya Musalia Mudavadi said in a tweet: “Congratulations to Morocco for reaching the world cup semi-finals and being the first African team to achieve that feat.”

The official described Morocco’s win as “a well-deserved victory.”

“The Atlas Lions have made Africa proud,” he added.

Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development also joined the celebration, congratulating Morocco’s win.

“Egypt and all Arab nations are proud of this moment,” she said.
