Black Stars Technical Advisor Chris Hughton has urged everyone to be confident in the team ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
Ghana are currently ranked 61st in the FIFA rankings, the lowest of any of the 2022 World Cup participating teams.
Fans have been generally pessimistic of the nation’s chances but the former Brighton manager has urged all to be confident.
‘We are where we are, the lowest-seeded team in a group of four — and it’s a tough group. In my conversations with people, I encourage them not to get too carried away, but this is the World Cup. They [the federation] will be expecting us to do well. So will the country. It’s a cup competition and we have to be confident,’ he told Daily Mail.
Ghana have been drawn in Group H with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea for the 2022 World Cup.
