The Palancas Negras from Angola came from a goal down to draw 1-1 against tournament favourite, The Desert Foxes from Algeria on Monday evening in Bouake.
Baghdad Bounedjah scored the opening goal of the match to put the Green and Whites outfit in a commanding lead with a well-taken strike early in the game.
Few minutes later, the striker thought he had scored again when he found the back of the net in what would have been goal of the tournament but only for the referee’s assistant to flag for offside.
Mabululu, who came on in the first half of the match won and converted a spot kick to make sure parity was shared at the end of the match as it finished 1-1.
