Ramy Bensebaïni (45th minute) and Mohamed El Amine Amoura (89th) allowed Algeria, in Tanzania, to pocket their second 2-0 victory in two qualifying days for the 2023 African Cup of Nations.

It is six out of six for the Fennecs.

Four days after their 2-0 victory against Uganda on the first day of qualifying for the 2023 African Cup of Nations, Algeria followed on Wednesday with a success by the same score in Tanzania. This allows the selection of Djamel Belmadi assume the top spot of group F, with four more points ahead of Niger.

The two goals of the match were scored by Ramy Bensebaïni (45th + 2) and Mohamed El Amine Amoura (89th). The performance was not, however, glorious: the Greens had still not struck on goal when the score opened. They even almost conceded the opener on a header from Mbwana Samatta (31st).

Next matches in September

Algeria’s next matches in this qualifying championship will be played in September: the 19th and 27th against Niger. The rest will be scheduled for March, with return matches against Uganda and Tanzania.
