The Black Stars of Ghana opened camp ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar earlier today and held their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The team arrived at the Accra Sports Stadium 15 minutes after 4 in their new team bus with supporters already present to watch the team train.
Kamaldeen Sulemana, Ernest Nuamah and Ransford Yeboah Konigsdorffer, who were all named in the Black Meteors team joined the team’s opening training session.
Despite 23 players arriving on the pitch, only 22 completed Monday’s session with Bechem United’s Hafiz Konkoni undergoing a separate session with the team physio.
After a long season, there was the need to take things slowly in the training as the intensity was minimal while there was also little ball work at the end of the day.
Gideon Mensah, who reported on the first day of camp opening was not involved in the team’s training while Thomas Partey is also yet to arrive.
