2023 AFCON Qualifiers: Seventeen (17) players report to camp for Angola doubleheader

Ghana’s preparations for their African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola are underway with 17 players currently in camp. The rest of the squad is expected to join the camp today, ahead of the first leg match in Kumasi.

The players present in camp are Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Joseph Wollacott, Alexander Djiku, Denis Odoi, Patrick Kpozo, Daniel Amartey, Joseph Aidoo, Andre Ayew, Joseph Painstil, Ransford Yeboah, Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu, Majeed Ashimeru, Edmund Addo, and Kingsley Schindler of FC Koln, who was called up to replace the injured Tariq Lamptey.

The remaining eight players who are yet to arrive in camp are Thomas Partey, Gideon Mensah, Abdul Salis Samed, Osman Bukari, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Mohammed Kudus, Kamal Sowah, and goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi.

The first leg match will take place on Thursday, March 23, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with the return leg scheduled for March 27, 2023, in Luanda.
