Black Stars manager head coach Chris Houghton has stated the readiness of his team ahead of their cranch game against Mozambique on Monday.
Having crashed out of the group stage at the last AFCON tournament, the former Brighton boss was asked about the psychological effect that can have on his boys. And the gaffer quickly mentioned that his men are battle ready for the game tomorrow
“We know the precedents but we are not letting it over us. We know the level we have to go to get the results and my players are mentally ready to battle it out”
Ghana lost to Comoros in their last group game at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.
In the AFCON 2023 tournament currently going on in Ivory Coast, The blackstars lost their first game to Cape Verde and drew with Egypt , giving them 1 point so far in the group
They play their last game vs Mozambique and win can aid them in qualifying from the group , depending on the outcome from other matches in the tournament.
