The Nigerian Women’s National Team clinched the National Team of the Year (Women) award at the CAF Awards 2023 in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday.
The Super Falcons, who historically advanced to the FIFA Women’s World Cup Round of 16 alongside Morocco and South Africa, received this accolade, making it their fifth National Team of the Year award in the women’s category.
This latest recognition reaffirms the Super Falcons’ status as the most awarded women’s national team in this category.
Nominated alongside Morocco and South Africa, the team’s notable achievement adds to their impressive record, with their previous win in this category dating back to 2018.
