Black Galaxies and Asante Kotoko SC forward Albert Amoah is optimistic about Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the CHAN 2025 tournament ahead of their upcoming double-header against Nigeria.
Amoah has urged Ghanaians to rally behind the team as they aim to secure a spot in the tournament.
The Black Galaxies will be looking to repeat their success from two years ago, when they triumphed over Nigeria in a penalty shootout to earn their place in the most recent CHAN competition.
In an interview, Amoah expressed confidence in Ghana’s preparation for the crucial qualifier.
“Looking at how far we’ve come in terms of preparation, I think Ghanaians should expect something positive from us,” he stated.
The striker added, “We have really prepared well and are looking to make Ghanaians happy and bring the love for football back.”
With high expectations surrounding their performance, Amoah urged fans to show up in full support.
“I want the fans to show up in their numbers, and we will give them the victory they want,” he pledged.
Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, with the return fixture set to take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
