Former Great Olympics head coach Annor Walker has lauded Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah, describing him as a highly talented player.
Amoah has been making waves in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, notably scoring the match-winning goal in Kotoko’s 1-0 victory over Hearts of Oak on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Reflecting on how he first discovered Amoah, Walker recalled, “During my time at Great Olympics, we traveled to Koforidua for a game, and I spotted Albert Amoah playing for Kwaebibirem United FC. I immediately told my technical team to get me that player.”
“He joined Olympics and was an outstanding player, but unfortunately, we couldn’t stay together for long,” he continued.
“Albert Amoah is a talented player, and I’m not surprised by his strong start at Asante Kotoko.”
Amoah will look to carry his impressive form into the upcoming CHAN qualifiers, where the Black Galaxies face Nigeria in the race for the 2024 African Nations Championship.
