Ghana’s Black Queens defeated Guinea 3-0 away from home in the first leg of the Paris 2024 Olympic first-round qualifiers in Conakry on Friday evening.
Vivian Adjei Konadu took full advantage of an error by the Guinean goalkeeper to put Ghana ahead in the 19th minute of the first 45 minutes of the match.
Priscilla Adubea doubled Ghana’s lead in the 27th minute to lead 2-0 at half time with a fine finish to give Ghana a comfortable lead at the break.
Evelyn Badu made sure of victory for Ghana with following a delicious cross from Mary Amponsah for Ghana’s third goal.
The match ended with Ghana carrying a 3-0 advantage into the second leg scheduled for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
