Ahead of their highly anticipated 2024 President’s Cup encounter against ASEC Mimosas at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has unveiled a formidable starting lineup.

Key inclusion Richmond Lamptey, absent from the club’s recent 1-0 victory over Gold Stars, is set to make his return to the starting XI.

Lamptey will join forces with talisman Steven Mukwala and promising youngster Rocky Dwamena in what promises to be a thrilling contest.

Scheduled for a 4 PM kickoff, the match will be held without gate fees, allowing fans to enjoy the action-packed fixture without financial constraints.

Asante Kotoko, eager to reclaim the President’s Cup title after consecutive defeats to Hearts of Oak in the last two editions, see the home advantage at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium as a crucial factor in their quest for victory.

The last time the Reds lifted the trophy was in 2019, and they are determined to add another triumph to their illustrious history.

With an impressive track record in the President’s Cup, having clinched the title 8 times since its inception, Asante Kotoko aims to maintain their status as the most successful club in the competition.

Rivals Hearts of Oak, with 6 titles to their name, will pose a formidable challenge.
