Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is focused on securing a strong start to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which will be held in Morocco next year.
Addo believes that a successful beginning will greatly enhance Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the tournament.
Addo has announced his 23-man squad for the first two qualifying matches against Angola and Niger. Speaking about the upcoming games, he stated, “We have to take one step at a time. Our immediate goal is to qualify for the AFCON, and for this, we need a good start against Angola. That’s my sole focus at the moment.”
The Black Stars will face Angola on September 5th at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, marking the start of their Group F campaign. They will then travel to Niamey to play against Niger on September 9th in Berkane, Morocco.
These opening fixtures will be crucial in setting the tone for Ghana’s campaign to secure a place in the prestigious continental tournament.
