Match: Pyramids v RS Berkane
Venue: 30 June Stadium (Cairo)
Date: Saturday 18th October
Referee: Mahmood Ismail (Sudan)
Time: 5 pm

Pyramids FC and RS Berkane clash in the 2025 CAF Super Cup at Cairo’s 30 June Stadium, promising a thrilling battle between Egypt’s rising giants and Morocco’s seasoned campaigners.

The 2025 TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup pits CAF Champions League winners Pyramids FC against CAF Confederation Cup holders RS Berkane in a high-stakes showdown for continental supremacy.

The game marks Pyramids’ debut in the Super Cup, while Berkane return with experience, having lifted the trophy in 2020.

The match will be broadcast exclusively on BeIN Sports, drawing attention from fans across Africa and beyond.

Pyramids FC enter the tie buoyed by their historic Champions League triumph over Mamelodi Sundowns, showcasing tactical discipline and attacking flair.

Led by coach Krunoslav Jurcic, the Egyptian side blends domestic talent with international experience, including key figures like Ramadan Sobhi and Fakhreddine Ben Youssef.

Playing on home soil at the 30 June Stadium gives them a psychological edge, but they’ll need to overcome Berkane’s physicality and counter-attacking threat.

RS Berkane, meanwhile, arrive in Cairo with confidence after edging Simba SC in the Confederation Cup final.

Known for their compact defensive shape and swift transitions, the Moroccan outfit will rely on the leadership of captain Issoufou Dayo and the tactical nous of coach Mouin Chaabani, who is a serial winner on the African continent.

With a reputation for thriving in knockout formats, Berkane will aim to frustrate Pyramids and capitalise on set pieces and quick breaks.

The clash promises a tactical chess match, with continental pride and silverware at stake.

Pyramids have been in superb form lately, having won seven consecutive games.

The Ciro-based club are the champion of Africa, and many pundits expect them to win even though they are playing against a team that is more experienced than them.

Berkane won their third Confederation Cup title, making them one of the serial winners on the continent in the last decade.
