Otto Addo has unveiled a formidable Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Following Ghana’s disappointing failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in two decades, the national team is set to regroup for their crucial qualifiers later this month.
The 49-year-old coach has assembled a balanced squad that blends youthful talent with experienced players for the crucial Matchday five and six encounters.
Jordan Ayew will captain the team, while Thomas Partey makes a highly anticipated return after missing the recent AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast due to injury.
Additionally, new faces such as Benjamin Asare of Hearts of Oak, Razak Simpson from Nations FC, and Kamaradini Mamudu of Medeama SC have been included in the squad.
Ghana is scheduled to play Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, 2025. After that, the team will travel to Morocco to take on Madagascar in another important Group I clash on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Otto Addo and his squad are keen on maintaining their strong performance in the World Cup qualifiers. Currently, Ghana sits in second place in Group I with nine points after four matches.
Preparations for the upcoming games will commence on Monday, March 17, 2025, as the team begins camping in Accra.
