Coach Mallam Yahaya is sinking Elmina Sharks FC in the sea gradually this season with a horrible and unwanted record at the helms of the Elmina-based club this campaign.
The former Kumasi King Faisal FC player and former Wassaman United coach is without a win since joining the Fearsome Sharks after match week six.
The Green and Whites outfit are without a single win in their last six matches under the charges of the coach as they remain bottom of the Ghana Premier League table with seven points from 12 matches.
This season, the Elmina lads have won two games beating newly promoted team Bibiani Gold Stars SC and Karela United FC with both wins coming at the Nduom Stadium in Elmina.
Sharks also have managed one draw all season which came under former coach Nii Odartey Lamptey who left the club on points before their last win over Karela United which was masterminded by Deputy coach before the appointment of Mallam Yahaya.
Sharks, after beating Karela United have not picked up a single points in their subsequent games losing all six consecutive matches after the Karela win.
Mallam Yahaya is yet to guard the team to their first win after taking over as head coach of the club and everything seems to have turned upside down at the moment for the Nduom side.
Sharks have not only gone six matches without a win but also without a single goal scored in those games they have played under the new manager at the helms of affairs at the club.
During this period, the team have shipped (conceded) in nine goals in the six games they are are yet to score which has cost them six straight defeats and are a firm candidate for relegation at the end of the season if nothing drastic happens at the club.
Sharks loss 1 – 0 to King Faisal in Kumasi, loss by same margin against Hearts of Oak at home followed by three 2-0 defeats on the trot to Real Tamale United FC on the road, Legon Cities FC at home and West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC in Sogakope.
In their week 12 encounter against Aduana Stars FC in Elmina on Sunday, January 9, the woes of the Fearsome Sharks continued as they lost 1-0 to the two-time Ghana Premier League winners.
The run of games in the ongoing 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season coun continue and extend to seven matches as they travel to Obuasi next to play Ashantigold SC who suffered back to back defeats to Medeama SC at home and Kotoko in Kumasi.
With this poor run of form in the league under Coach Mallam Yahaya, the club seems to be on its way to relegation as the coach looks clueless as to what to do to get the team back on track so far.
If nothing changes and quickly enough at the club, the Fearsome club could end up playing in the national Division One League Zone Two in the 2022-23 season under the watch of Mallam Yahaya.
