Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac is quiet on the arrival of AFC Ajax Amsterdam star Mohammed Kudus to the camp of the Black Stars in Cameroon.

The Serbian tactician remained tight-lipped on the youngster’s arrival for the remaining games but did not also give up on the Ajax star despite injury and remains hopeful.

According to various media reports Kudus have been given the permission by his club to travel to Cameroon for the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations despite lacking game time since his injury in November.

Kudus has not played since November when he suffered the rib injury in the crucial 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa in Cape Coast, a game Ghana won to book a place in the playoffs for the FIFA mundial later this year.

Asked about the arrival of the midfielder ahead of Gabon clash, the 67-year-old said he is not sure about his arrival but expect to see him soon in Cameroon.

“We are not sure about Kudus but we expect to see him soon, he is recovering and training so hopefully we see him soon” he said at the pre-match conference.

Ghana will take on Gabon in their second Group C game against Gabon whose captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Mario René Junior Lemina of OGC Nice return to the team after testing negative for Covid-19.
