Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions Sporting Director Ibrahim Tanko has availed himself and has stated his readiness to assist the Black Stars technical team whenever they need him.
The former Ghana U23, the Black Meteors coach says he will be willing to serve Ghana whenever the coaches knocks at his door.
Tanko was the assistant coach for former Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah and was part of the technical team during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
In an interview with Bryt FM on his availability to assist the team, the former Borussia Dortmund player and UEFA Champions League winner stated emphatically about his will to help the team when called upon.
“It’s difficult to say no to Ghana, so I am always available. I mostly speak to the technical team led by Otto Addo and anyone knows I played with him at Dortmund. I also started my coaching career with him, so Otto is a good friend and we always get in touch”
“We have to pray for the team but it will be prudent for us to lower our expectations so players won’t be pressured” he added.
Ghana sealed qualification over Nigeria and has been paired in Group H against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
