Ghanaian goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad has been named second deputy captain of Kotoko ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
The teenager was a key cog for Kotoko as they successfully marched towards the betPawa Premier League trophy during the 2021/22 season.
He will be expected to assist main captain Richard Boadu and first deputy Yussif Mubarik in the new campaign. Christopher Nettey and Pouaty Dendoum have also been named leaders of the team.
The captains for last season have been completely changed with Ismail Ganiu having an uncertain future and the duo of Razak Abalora and Mudasiru Salifu joining Sheriff Tiraspol.
Danlad recently signed a two-year extension , showing that the club maintains huge faith in his abilities as a player. He is also the first-choice goalkeeper of the Black Galaxies, Ghana’s local Black Stars team.
The 19-year-old will have extra responsibility on his hands next season.
