Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus looks destined to be the Amsterdam club’s next major transfer sale. The Ghanaian international is thriving at the Johan Cruyff Arena and clubs around Europe are staring at the Dutch club with envy.

Kudus arrived in 2020 from Danish club Nordsjaelland for just £8.10 million. Despite trying to force through a transfer during the offseason, Kudus has returned to the Ajax team and hit the ground running. The 22-year-old has already scored five goals in eight appearances this season for Ajax. If he continues to score goals for the Amsterdammers, Kudus will get a big-money move away from the club.

Ajax are going strong in the Dutch Eredivisie thanks to Kudus. The Dutch club hopes to reach the last 16 of the Champions League this season and a big match with Napoli is on the horizon. Fans are debating which team will win the big Champions League game. Before it kicks off, Bettors Ghana will have the latest insight and news on the fixture.

According to one report, Kudus could soon be worth as much as £60m thanks to Antony’s big-money move to Manchester United in the offseason. The Brazilian switched Ajax for Man United for £85.5m toward the end of the transfer window.

Kudus had at least one admirer from the Premier League. Everton had bid £15m for the attacking midfielder/forward just days before the transfer window shut. Ajax were unwilling to sell the Ghanaian due to Antony’s impending departure from the club. Kudus wanted to move to the Premier League and it is claimed he refused to train with the Amsterdammers to force through a move.

The player isn’t just scoring goals in the Eredivisie. Kudus bagged one of Ajax’s four goals against Rangers on matchday No. 1 of the Champions League tournament. Former Ajax defender Keje Molenaar has stated Kudus is now worth significantly more to Ajax than he was just a couple of months ago.

According to Transfermarkt, Kudus is valued at £9m. Molenaar has said Kudus is worth more than £50m more than his current value. If Everton or any Premier League team for that matter want to sign the Ghanaian, they will need to stump up more than the fee the Toffees originally offered Ajax.

Everton’s struggles in the Premier League this season may have Kudus thanking his lucky stars he remained in the Netherlands. While Frank Lampard’s team is likely to battle relegation, Ajax are flying high in both the Premier League and Champions League tournaments.

The forward was named man of the match for Ajax’s 4-0 Champions League win versus Scotland’s Rangers. The forward’s dynamism is one reason new Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder has used him. Following the win versus Rangers in the Champions League, Kudus bagged a brace against Eredivisie rival Heerenveen. Ajax defeated Heerenveen 5-0 with Kudus starring once more.

Kudus’ failed transfer to Everton already looks like a blessing in disguise. The forward could sign for any number of Premier League teams next season based on his current form.
