Clermont Foot head coach Pascal Gastien has lauded the qualities of Ghanaian midfielder Samed Salis.

Gastien handled Salis for one year before moving to Lens and his former boss insists he will continue to shine.

“Lens, with an atmosphere that suits him well, is an additional step in his career project.” Gastien stressed.

” He is a young player who does not doubt his qualities and advances all the time. With Franck, he is in good hands. He made a good choice and Lens too.

He is even more consistent in what he does technically. He is one of the best in the championship in his position.”

” From what I see, he fits perfectly into this desire to quickly recover the ball when lost, to make an impact.”

Marseille and a host of teams were after Salis before he decided to join Lens.
