Al Batin’s midfielder Mudasiru Salifu, on loan from Asante Kotoko, was recognized in Sofacore’s Saudi Pro League round 20 Team of the Week for his contribution to the team’s crucial 1-0 win against Al Khaleej.
Despite Al Batin’s position at the bottom of the league table, Salifu played the entire 90 minutes and demonstrated a remarkable performance.
Salifu’s 43 ball touches and 18 completed passes out of 23 were impressive, and he won three tackles, 11 clearances, and two interceptions. He was also victorious in all five ground duels and two aerial duels.
The victory against Al Khaleej secured three crucial points for Al Batin in their bid to avoid relegation from the top division, and Salifu’s performance was critical in achieving the win.
His inclusion in the Team of the Week is a testament to his impressive display. Since joining the club on loan in January, Salifu has played seven games for Al Batin.
