Following Arsenal’s 3-3 draw with Southampton, Ghanaian international Thomas Partey discussed their English Premier League title aspirations.

Despite having home advantage, the Gunners failed to secure a win against the Saints at the Emirates Stadium.

In light of the result, Partey urged his teammates to remain optimistic as they continue to compete for the title.“I think everything depends on us – we have to go [to City] with the mentality to play football and plays we know. And, at the end, we have to try and win.

He added that they should approach upcoming matches with the same determination they had at the beginning of the season, and that doing so would lead to victory. He also acknowledged the team’s frustration with their recent draw, but insisted that they must keep fighting and striving for better results.

“We have to approach it as a game in that we do everything that we did from the beginning of the season and I am sure we can win, if we do that. It’s normal that we feel frustrated after Friday as we could have done better. We worked so hard during the week for the game.

“We cannot put our heads down because now is not the time to drop heads. We have to keep on fighting, we have to keep on pushing and in the end we will get better results.”

Arsenal has not won the Premier League title since 2003.
